P.S. Your post "Set Free" was so very thought provoking and touching...such lovely good thoughts.
I sure appreciate your long~time friendship... as well as your inspiring and lovely blog, "Pleasures of Homemaking"!
I will always remember how you so generously introduced me to your readers when I first began blogging in 2008!
It was such a delight to have you, along with Mary Ellen from "Mary's Meanderings", Brenda from "Coffee, Tea & Books" (we knew each other from iVillage), and Clarice from "Storybook Woods" all find... embrace... and befriend me... almost simultaneously... as I entered into this creative wonderland of the Ethers!!
Such kindnesses and generosity are UNforgettable.
Wishing you and you lovely family a wondrous 2010 filled with love, light, health and creativity.
Thank you so much darling Clarice!! It is a delight to know you my friend. A lovely and blessed 2010 to you and your family. I so look forward to a year filled with friendships, creativity and kindred spirits and kind souls! Love, Tracey xxx000xxx
My mom was a prayer warrior too. I think that was a lovely thing to say about your mom. Three years is not all that long and I know you are still missing her terribly.
I am thankful for all of the prayers that my mom prayed for me over the years!
My mom has been gone for more than twenty years now and I have let go of all of the painful memories of the things that she suffered when she was sick... and I dwell on all the wonderful memories I have of her from my childhood.
Isn't it wonderful that God lets us keep our sweet memories! And it is also wonderful that we will spend eternity with our moms in heaven because we have all trusted Christ! (:>)
Thank you so much for the beautiful comment Linda. One of the things my Mom used to always say as she battled MS was:
"Without the bitter we know not how good is the sweet."
Looking back, I realize that this philosophy, which came from her strong faith in God, was the root of the strength she displayed through decades of physical deterioration and illness. As well, the lessons we in her family learned by being part of her experience are, in hind site, priceless.
Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
A blessed 2010 to you Gill! I love your recent post about blogs around the world and the Pantry challenge! You always put up the most interesting and helpful posts! Warmly, Tracey x0x
