"Friends are helpful...
not only because they will listen to us,
but because they will laugh at us;
Through them we learn a little objectivity,
a little modesty,
a little courtesy;
We learn the rules of life and become better players of the game."
~Will Durant
Mary Ellen from Mary's Meanderings was my very first blog friend. I don't know how she found me but she extended her hand of friendship almost immediately after my entrance into this wonderland...this ethereal sphere. She has generously shared tips and tricks that demystified the mechanics of posting... comforted me with her calm posts and wise words of wisdom... inspired me to action and beauty via her lovely images.
Today, Mary's posted a list of several lovely giveaways. If you'd like to take a peek at Mary's inspiring blog (and learn more about the giveaways) please click the link below:

So happy you enjoyed it as much as I did (do) Carol! If the truth be told, I am a long-time fan of Will Durant's work.

LOL You and I both June! I always tell my children that "repetition is the mother of skill" when they point out that I'm repeating! ;) Thank you so much for your lovely thoughts regarding the blog. I think we all just do the best we can when we can find the time. That being said, your post on picket fences was truly enchanting!!
Warmly,

Tracey what a sweet surprise to read your newest blog entry! You are too kind and I am afraid I am far less than you have stated- for some reason the quote "just one begger sharing with another" and then I am thinking ,"well that doesn't sound right- Tracey's not begger....hopefully you will get my drift!!
I do not remember how I bumped into your blog either- it was one of those divine appointments for which I am eternally grateful!!
I am enjoying the book- Read snippets here and there when I am in the library and I won't expound on where that is!!! LOL

Good Morning Mary Ellen! I agree...it was a lovely "divine appointment" (what a great phrase). I'm so happy you're enjoying the book! You are so smart to be reading it in snippets. In fact, I organized them in what I like to call bite-size pieces. The world is such a busy place that my ideal was to create books that were easy to read for a short while... easy (but not TOO easy ;) to put down... and also easy to pick up later... without the confusing "now, where was I" inner dialogue!
I have to tell you I am still chuckling from your comment!! I would say it applied except for the fact that YOU are not a beggar!! ;)
Have a lovely day my kind friend. I'm off to get a tea/coffee with my girls and hit a few rummage sales!!
Blessings and best thoughts from...
Traceyxox.
