Enchanted Memories of Grandma Ruby
Summer 2010 has held more than its share of trials and tribulations. My own injuries, illnesses & allergic reactions were the least of them. The saddest and most difficult to bear was the illness and subsequent loss of Mike's mother, our beloved "Grandma Ruby", on August 13th. In her honor, I share these lovely images of storybook homes and gardens that evoke her memory. Please pray for the repose of her sweet soul.
Sending love, good thoughts and gratitude to you all.
Warmly,
Tracey and Family

Doesn't it seem there are seasons of trials? I lost my mother, two brothers, and a sister all in about the same eighteen months in the 1990s.
I do pray for you that your body and soul be healed.
My nephew and I were just talking on Facebook about how we remember his mom when we think of certain foods.
I'm making fried green tomatoes tonight for dinner and that was one of her favorites.
You always put things so perfectly dear Brenda. Yes, you are so right, trials do seem to come in a seasonal manner. I cannot imagine the hard losses you were hit with during those months in the 1990's.
It seems that loss (of health and good people) heightens our sense of appreciation. I've never been more grateful for those healthy "normal" moments, and a good night's sleep is much more appreciated than it ever has been. As well, my loved ones and friends are even more precious to me than before this season.
Thank you so very much for your kindness, good thoughts and prayers. They mean more to me than you know.
With love and friendship, always.
Warmly,
Tracey

Hi Tracey,
Recently I follow your beautiful blog and hear this sad story today.
If your grandmother look down she'll be thankful for the beautiful memories.
How nice that you do this to her said.
I agree with you, I myself have major setbacks .. It gives you many, despite the sadness also a better appreciation of life. Awareness of the smallest simple things that may arise.
I wish you and your family lots of strength and power, with this loss.
Get well with your health!
Dear greetings, Helena

Dear Tracey,
It is very hard to lose someone very special in your life. I think you did a great job with the photos while remembering someone so dear to you. By the photos you picked it looks like she was a very special individual. God bless you family in their time of healing. Take the care you need to; to be healthy. I know it is easier said then done. A friendly word or two from Betty:)
Betty, I will take your friendly, kind words to heart my friend. Thank you so much for the good thoughts behind them as well.
