The Awakening

Even as an intermittent blogger I haven't published much these past few years.  I could write my long list of reasons but it's sufficient to say that I had been left quite inner focused and with a lack of worthy things to contribute.

During that time I have continued to be very uplifted and inspired by all of your lovely blogs and sites and wish to extend my gratitude for their continued existence.

While I'm not sure in which direction this new awakening will lead, or how often I will publish, I must confide that, in an unexplainable way, I feel that I'm being led to once again add my humble voice to the chorus of helpful and enlightening wisdoms.

"Tiny drops of water make a mighty ocean, tiny grains of sand a beach."

I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised that Frugal Luxuries has returned from Hibernation.

Yes, Spring is here-awake from your hibernation! Oh my goodness, Tracey--this is wonderful news! I treasure my Frugal Luxuries books and while their practicality and beauty are timeless, your heart and voice have been missed
and would be most welcomed!

Oh my goodness! Not only do I enjoy your blog I LOVE the cup and soup bowl photo. I have been looking everywhere for soup bowls with those colors including ebay. Would you tell me the company name printed on the bottom of the bowl. I like the cup, too, but I'm a hard core coffee drinker. (smile)

I look forward to reading/learning more from you. Shirley near Seattle

I commented on the soup/dessert bowl and meant to sign my name and not leave it as Anonymous. So sorry. Shirley near Seattle

Hi Shirley! I'm so sorry to tell you that the cup and saucer/bowl are a vintage photo and unfortunately I am not in physical possession of them...sadly. I too think the colors are very pretty. Like you, I'm keeping an eye out for similar dishes and will be certain to share with you a source should I come across the one!
Warmly,
Tracey

It's funny as I haven't found this blog for a while and as I sit reading your books again, I decided to
look it up to see what you have been up to and found you are going to post more again. It brought
a huge smile to my soul. I look forward to your special words again.

"FRUGAL LUXURIES: Simple Pleasures to Enhance Your Life and Comfort Your Soul" was written by Tracey McBride and published by Bantam Books, NY, in 1997. It was the first of its genre to synergize the elements of simplicity, frugality and gracious living.

After more than a decade, FRUGAL LUXURIES has never been out of print and is now more relevant than ever.

"It's our hope that a new generation, faced with a teetering economy, will also find this information helpful and enlightening."
