More HOLIDAY REUSABLES photos!!

I especially love this little tin...these smaller sizes are holding tee-shirts for Rosie (rolled up, then wrapped with tissue paper)...the vintage, mother of pearl pin at the top is from our collection of vintage jewelry....

...a closer view of the tin...such pretty colors...

This is another view of one of our oldest tins...

This octagonal tin is one of Rosie's favorites...

...as is this one..with another vintage brooch pinned to the top of the bow! Have you noticed my love of tulle ?? Years ago, I bought rolls and rolls of it for a song, and I have been using it ever since. It is so easy to recycle, as it's quite sturdy and holds up well from year to year...and the shape bounces back beautifully. As well...it adds an ethereal quality to everything! In Victorian times they called it "Illusion"!! What a great name for it...and so it is.

Thank you Brooke, for your happy wishes and kind words, they are very appreciated, especially coming from you!
Warmly,
Tracey
P.S. Rosie and I are having such fun going through all of the blogs you mentioned in your post! We found our sofa and white drop leaf table (almost identical) on Mari's photography site! We couldn't believe it! Perhaps it's genetic :)...thanks again for sharing so generously. xo

hi Tracey! you have done it again! i love the tins, love the tulle and love the vintage jewelry. everything looks so pretty. you can NEVER go wrong with vintage. this look would be so pretty to have at an all girl tea party. i can think of all kinds of use for these lovely creations. now i'm looking for beautiful tins and boxes, well i have a few beautiful boxes already, but i think you have just stirred up a new collection for me. i think that these would be just lovely to give as gifts or even to use as just decoration around your home. i'm looking forward to seeing what you will post next. my family and i had a lovely Christmas day. it was so cozy because it rained all day. i'm glad you and your family enjoyed your Christmas too. talk to you soon.

God Bless,
Charmaine

Oh Charmaine, thank you so for your lovely, lovely comment(s :)...what a GREAT idea to use this look at an all girl tea party!! I know what you mean about a "few" of these charming
tins becoming "many" ...they can become a collecting obsession! My own collection started with some vintage tins that my parents brought from England, before I was born! We didn't look upon them as vintage when I was young...lol...we just thought they were old!! RBAT (right back at ya) regarding being excited about what you will post next my kind friend. We're off again...to go a visiting...so I will try to check in later tonight. A thousand thanks.
Love from traceyxox

Good Morning Tracey! you are so sweet! nice to hear from you this morning. yes, my header has changed. my sister was bugging me about changing it, so i allowed her to do it. i still have to get use to it. so i'm looking to see if i like anything else. so, how are you this morning? and the family? well, i pray everything is going well. so you like the top room? i think that's my favorite too. i love the windows. i also love to decorate with books. of course i love reading too, but there is something about books being in a room. i like it when they look like they are a part of your life and not just sitting on the shelves collecting dust. how was your weekend? ours was very relaxing. looking forward to seeing what you will post next. have a beautiful day!

God Bless,
Charmaine
