Welcome...we're lucky to have you!!!
To live content with small means...to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion...to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich...to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly...to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart...to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, never hurry...in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious...grow up through the common...this is to be my symphony.
---William Henry Channing
Note: Words to live by. This poignant quote touches me more now than when I used it in my first book, Frugal Luxuries, Bantam Books, NY, NY, in 1997.

Tracey,
I do believe they can be. Tastes and smells bring back such lovely memories...

I think all the senses trigger memories. Songs, smells, tastes - definetly!
Hi Tracey! oh, it was very nice hearing from you today. i know you are having a good time enjoying your son. how is your family? i pray all is well. thank you so much for your always kind comments, they are truly appreciated. these cookies look mouth watering. you know i'm a cookie monster, i just love cookies. i just bought that Martha Stewart Cookie book and it is fabulous. i do believe memories can be tasted. it's funny because even when i'm not eating my taste buds, well the brain, triggers a memory of something from my past that i loved eating as a child. it's amazing how God created the human being. well, i pray that you have a blessed day! it is raining cats and dogs my way, but i'm really enjoying this weather. talk to you soon. say hi to Rosie!
God Bless,
Charmaine

good morning my sweet TRACEY! how are you? i pray all is well with you and yours. i am loving this rain down to every rain drop. i have been waiting for it. it was suppose to rain over the weekend, but i guest God said not yet. Friday it rained and i loved it. my family and i went to Color Me Mine. we had so much fun. we were there for about 4 hours. i did a cute mug. i can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. i love making your own things because it's so special. so, you love those vintage head pieces? aren't they adorable! i love the colors and the one with the jewels are my favorite. how was your family visit? i'm sure you all enjoyed your time together. it is nice as always to hear from you. i pray that you will have a blessed day. keep in touch.
