Tracey, thanks for the link. I'm always on the lookout for some neat ideas when it comes to Christmas. Hugs friend.
Tracey thank you for Clarice's site- I went over and looked and she does have some great ideas. Her little birds are just the sweetest ever. I think I may try to make some of those!
I bought some miscellaneous jars, candle sticks etc at thrift and yard sale and will be making little cloches and apothecary jars filled with goodies for the holidays. I hope they will turn out as sweet as I envision them and they will only have cost between 2-$3 each - maybe even less.

Hi Tracey! I saved glass bottle with stoppers (the kind you buy fancy lemonade in at the super market) I plan to make a double batch of my Christmas Tea and bottle it up, include a card with the recipe and deliver it to the people in my neighborhood who volunteer to keep my community looking great!
Last year I took them all a sample of my fudge and that was a big hit too!
I posted both recipes last December on my blog if anyone wants to try them.
Hi Carol! I know you will enjoy Clarice's ideas--I always do! She is definitely a kindred spirit.

Mary Ellen! You're not going to believe this but your timing couldn't be more perfect! On today's "Potential Accomplishments" ;) list I wrote "de-clutter/clean out the bottom section of pantry" this dangerous section is housing to an acute, over-abundance of jars. As I go through them I will be taking a cue from your Christmas gift idea and look for jars that would make nice gifts when filled with goodies!

Clarice, thank you so much for letting me link to you yet again! We all really appreciate your inspiring post.

Dana, Dana, Dana, I have to say, I just looked up your recipe for...
"The Smoothest Fudge Recipe To Ever Melt on Your Tongue"
...on your blog and I know that this is going to be a very bad thing for my diet--it looks fantastically delicious and surprisingly simple to make!! For those of you who want to take a look, just cut and paste the link below into your address bar...but fair warning...do so at your own risk!! ;)

Oh, serendipity again! I won't tell you how many of those lemonade bottles I've collected (love, love, love them). It never occurred to me to repurpose them for gift giving! Dana, I looked for your Christmas Tea recipe but got sidetracked with all the other fun stuff and thought I'd better get back here to write this first!
I was thinking, wouldn't those lemonade bottles be great holding homemade, flavored syrups to include in a breakfast-basket gift?? Include pancake mix, jams, jellies, whisk, and and apron (maybe even package it in a vintage mixing bowl, or even include a pan and a spatula??) just thinking aloud (so to speak). They are so simple and inexpensive to make too, just sugar, water and flavoring. If anyone wants the exact recipe just let me know and I'll post it or email it to you.
Good thought and thanks to you all for the generous sharing of ideas. It always amazes me how one idea begets a dozen more...but I digress!
Warmly,
Tracey
